Getting there
Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm is about a 2 hour drive from Melbourne. The farm is an old Homestead built in the 1860’s.
Best times for photography
There are old bluestone buildings, rows of lavender, crab apple trees, old gates and fences, a small dam and more. I found the best shot was with the setting sun behind the farm. Morning shots with the rising sun behind the lavender rows are available when the lavender is in flower around September.
A small fee of $5 gives you access to the entire farm which in turn allows the owners to keep the gardens looking beautiful and accessible for all throughout the four seasons.
