John Entwistle is Melbourne’s longest established tattoo artist. Originally opening his shop in the 1960’s John is still offering his services today. This is the 2nd time I have photographed John for the purpose of a fine art photography competition entry. Initially I photographed John in a number of different shirts but in the end I envisioned him with his skin exposed and his tattoos showing. John happened to be wearing the old style blue singlets that were popular for his generation. This shot against one of my own hand painted canvas backdrops turned out to be the photograph that I chose for the competition entry.
